Longevity and Beauty
Much of what I do for my Parkinson's, I also do for a long, healthy life.
Updated: October 2026
Exercise, cold, fasting, good sleep and certain supplements: I do much of this not only for my Parkinson's but also for a long, healthy life. The science here is still in its early days, and a lot has so far only been shown in animal studies.
What I Take for Longevity
- Spermidine, 6 mg: meant to support the cells' self-cleaning
- Glucosamine and chondroitin, 1,400 mg: for the joints. A large observational study found a lower risk of several age-related diseases with regular use (PubMed).
- Creatine, 8 grams, half of it before going to bed: for muscle strength and cell energy
- Taurine, 2 grams with occasional breaks: for the cells and the heart
- Urolithin A, 500 mg: for the mitochondria
- Lithium: for the brain
- Collagen, 10 grams: for skin and connective tissue
The complete list is under Supplements.
Other Building Blocks
- Red light for skin and cell energy
- HBO, the oxygen chamber that lengthened telomeres in an Israeli study
- Fasting and Fasting-Mimicking
- Sleep, Sauna and Cold
- Strength training, more under Exercise and Movement

My Thoughts on This
The futurist Sven Gábor Jánszky says, roughly: whoever gets through the next ten years in good health will probably live to be 100. Nobody knows whether that will come true. But it is worth getting through the next few years as healthy as possible. More on this under My Path and My Plans.
