Self-Healing

Confidence, self-care and the feeling that you can do something yourself are real forces.

The body's self-healing powers cannot get rid of Parkinson's. But they can help bring body and mind into balance and make it easier to live with the disease.

What I Mean by It

For me, this includes a positive attitude toward life, self-care and the feeling of being able to actively do something. If you live in a supportive environment and accept yourself, you give your body the best conditions. The approaches of Kurt Tepperwein stress how much the mind can achieve when you focus on healing and stay confident.

For me, self-healing does not mean going without medical care. It comes from many building blocks together: exercise, nutrition, rest, good relationships and confidence.

My Experience

Since I started doing something myself, I have never felt helpless again. I have not had depression since the fall of 2021. My attitude may also play a role in my course, even though that can't be measured. I describe how closely this is linked to the placebo effect on that page.

My Conclusion

Take control of what you can influence. That alone changes a lot.
